CHAIRMAN’S COLUMN:
As I write this, we have just finished at Carrington rally and are now looking to the
Lincolnshire Show – having also had the National meeting in Liverpool in between.
Of course, by the time you read this, the Lincolnshire Show will be over—and I am sure it will have been fantastic.
In next month’s WI News, we will be sharing the results, so look out for that.
I think everyone agrees it is wonderful to be able to take part in these occasions once again and thanks go to all those who have contributed too.
There are a lot of events coming up – and the events committee is well on with its planning for 2023. Remember, if you have any ideas for activities or outings, please let them know. Better still, why not become part of the events team. Just contact the office to find out more.
Many WIs over the past month have been celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. My own WI at Ludford marked the occasion with a talk on Jubilees through the ages, followed by sharing a sumptuous cake created by president Caroline Feit.
Lots more of your celebratory pictures can be found on page 5.
Until next time, take care. Dianne
