CHAIRMAN’S COLUMN:
I hope you are keeping well in this extreme heat we have been experiencing. You can always really on our weather to be a talking point can’t you?
It was also very hot at this year’s Lincolnshire Show and I add my thanks to our catering officer Janet and to everyone who battled on and helped at the event – it was very much appreciated.
Our show marquee looked fantastic too, with some amazing entries – which could be seen by the high marks awarded.
Congratulations to all the winners – and to everyone who entered. What talented members we have.
Talking of talent….. I was delighted to take part in the ‘Painting on Pottery’ workshop at WI House recently, led by Heighington member Helen Keyworth.
It was a lovely way to spend a Saturday – having a go at something different in a relaxed
and fun atmosphere, with a small group of fellow members and guests.
The results weren’t bad either, as you can see from the picture.
The 2023 programme of events and activities is being finalised now, so if there is something you would like to try or a workshop you would be willing to lead – just let us
know.
Well, that is all for now.
Take care as always. Dianne
