March 2024

Chairman’s column

Hello everyone
Well, what do you think?
I hope you will agree this edition of the WI News is jam-packed with events and activities to get involved with over the coming year – and even in to 2025.
Thanks go to all the members of EAT (Events and Activities Team) for creating such a varied and interesting programme. It is impossible to get something that will appeal to everyone, but I hope there is at least one thing that catches your eye. However, if you think there is something you would like to try or somewhere you would like to go that isn’t listed, let the team know and it may be possible to arrange it.
You will see on page 2 there are some events that have very early deadlines for bookings. This is because tickets need to be purchased well in advance. My advice, though, is always to get your booking in as soon as you see something you would like to do, so you don’t miss out. However, please remember, your place isn’t secure until payment is made.
Information on how to book is given on page 8. We request bank transfers for payments if at all possible as this saves on bank charges and means there is more money for our federation to work with.
I look forward to seeing you at events soon.
Take care as always.
Dianne
